＋For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Scarce Restored Circa 1923 Parker #98 Gold Filled Floral Acid Etched Overlay Fountain Pen. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and is now in wonderful writing condition.
I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, and section. Replaced the old sac with a new, properly sized silicone sac. Hand polished the Gold Filled Parker Clip, Gold Filled Cap, Barrel, Blind Cap, and 14K Lucky Curve Nib. Cleaned and Polished the barrel, blind cap and cap to bring back the vibrancy of the Overlay on the fountain pen. This Parker Lucky Curve is known as model #98. It measures 4 1/2" capped and 5 5/8" posted.
The fountain pen cap, barrel, and blind cap are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs with the cap always securing to the barrel. The Gold Filled Cap and Barrel are in magnificent condition. The Cap has a Gold Filled Parker Clip with PAT SEPT 5 - 16 stamped and has been polished to shine bright - just a touch a brassing on the ball of the clip. The cap and barrel display a lovely gold filled color with no brassing to speak of, just a hint in the cap lip near the imprint. The cap is clearly stamped with, "PARKER FOUNTAIN PEN GOLD FILLED PATENTED". There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel.
This Lucky Curve has a button filling mechanism and I have tested with water and fills as it should. Works fantastic and as designed to.
This Parker has the 14K Lucky Curve #2 NIB. The iridium tip measures .64mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample, this NIB writes with an extra fine to double broad stroke/line. The writing sample provided in the image has the extra fine stroke that measures .35mm and can flex to a double broad stroke of roughly 1.71mm with medium pressure. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.
This Roaring Twenties Parker Lucky Curve Fountain Pen is a very scarce #98 model with the Floral Etched pattern. I would consider this Parker grade in Excellent Condition. This Parker is ready to write with or just add it to your writing arsenal collection.
