＋For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Gorgeous 1935 Parker Silver Pearl Celluloid Double Jewel Vacumatic Fountain Pen in restored condition. This fountain pen has been thoroughly taken apart, cleaned and put back together and now is in wonderful writing condition.
I have ultrasonically cleaned the NIB, feed, section, breather tube, and barrel. Replaced the old diaphragm with a new, properly sized one. Hand polished the Nickel Plated Feather Clip, Nickel Plated Three Ring Cap Banding, and 14K Mono-tone NIB. Cleaned, Buffed, Polished & Waxed the barrel and cap to bring back the vibrancy and to protect the celluloid of the fountain pen.
This fountain pen cap and barrel are in magnificent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. The barrel has marvelous transparency with a person easily seeing through the barrel, albeit with minor ambering. The cap has the Feather Nickel Plated Clip with triple ring cap bands displaying a wonderful nickel color with no brassing. The top and bottom jewels are striped to match the cap, barrel, and section which have been polished to shine great again. The barrel is stamped with a clean imprint, "GEO S. PARKER PARKER VACUMATIC MADE IN USA PAT with a 5 date code (for 1935) in the 3rd quarter". The jeweled blind cap securely fits. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen is a Standard Size Model that has a wider diameter cap and barrel than the standard juniors. It measures 5 1/8" in length capped and 6 1/8" posted.
The Vacumatic Filling System works great, typically in my tests with water in about 7 to 8 presses and it will roughly fill 7/8 full. This Parker Vac 1st Generation Fountain Pen has the lockdown filling unit, typical on 1st generation Vacs. This filling unit has been greased and now operates smoothly and works as it was originally designed to.
The 14K Two-Tone U.S.A. Parker NIB has a medium point measuring roughly .79mm when measured with digital calipers. The NIB is the split arrow two-tone 14K Vacumatic type that is in excellent condition with some plating loss. This NIB creates a wonderfully smooth, yet wet, writing experience. The writing sample provided in the image has a fine stroke that measures .51mm and can flex to a broad stroke of roughly 1.14mm with medium pressure when measured with digital calipers. The sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Quink Blue Ink.
Any specks of white in the images are from the cotton that I used to clean the barrel and cap.
This is a beautiful vintage Parker Vacumatic Fountain Pen in the Silver Pearl Celluloid that has all the "high-line" features; 3-Ring Cap Banding, 2-Tone NIB, Striped Section, Striped top and bottom Jewels with excellent transparency and I would grade it in Excellent Condition. The celluloid silver pearl color is gorgeous and the silver trim is exceptionally clean on this Parker. This is collector worthy and is truly gorgeous Parker Vac from the 1st Generation and ready to write or just add to writing arsenal collection.
